Medieval 2 is about battles in medieval era but has such great modding that can completely convert the game into something completely new. total war (shogun 2 and medieval 2) -> shogun 2 is all about batles between samurais.

In terms of games i feel like you are missing the strategy genre. Because of this i'd recomend jsut play those games during these 5 months and buy more at the winter sale. so expect the winter sale in the last 2 weeks of this year. So now I am trying to build up a modest collection of games I might've missed out on, preferably those from the '$10 and under' sale category, that people would consider must-play additions to the Steam library or any gaming library really.
